Basketball Recap: Hale County Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Hale County couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a hard 60-42 fall against the Saint James Trojans on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Trojans are ranked ninth).

Hale County's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Saint James, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 33-2.

Hale County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Saint James, they will take on Midfield at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Midfield will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Saint James surely won't give up without a fight.
