Basketball Recap: Buena Vista's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Benson came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Buena Vista, but LC Doss wouldn't allow it. The Buena Vista Bison managed a 52-48 win over the Benson Bunnies on Friday thanks in part to Doss, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 29 points and five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Buena Vista's points.

Benson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Goanar Bamach, who went 7 of 14 en route to 19 points in addition to six boards and five blocks, and Antonio Carson Jr., who went 7 for 13 on his way to 18 points. The game was Carson Jr.'s fifth in a row with at least ten points.

The victory snapped Buena Vista's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-5 record. As for Benson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Buena Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-36 defeat against Grand Island on the 11th. As for Benson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 71-61 loss against Millard North on the 11th.
