Softball Recap: Lee Park Prep Knights vs. Union Academy Cardinals

On Monday, the Lee Park Prep Knights fell victim to a rough 10-1 loss at the hands of the Union Academy Cardinals. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Lee Park Prep has scored all season.

Lee Park Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Rushing, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

On Union Academy's side, Avery Wilson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Wilson has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Wilson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
