Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

If Cristo Rey Atlanta wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Mary's Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Emily Jimenez. The Bobcats blew past Cristo Rey Atlanta 3-0 on Thursday for which the team can thank Jimenez, who had 19 digs and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 17 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14, 25-18.

St. Mary's Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Coming up, St. Mary's Academy will challenge Heritage Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, they will face off against Lithia Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
