Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Venture Academy

Venture Academy pushed their score to 93 the last time they played Millennium, but on Tuesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Venture Academy Mustangs' defense stepped up to hand the Millennium Falcons a 2-0 shutout. The two-point effort marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Venture Academy pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points per game. As for Millennium, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Venture Academy will venture away from home to take on River Islands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Millennium, they are taking a road trip to challenge Aspire Langston Hughes Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
