Recap: Cardinal Newman Crusaders vs. Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves
The Cardinal Newman Crusaders stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 74-42 win over Oxbridge Academy. The win was some much needed relief for Cardinal Newman as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Cardinal Newman can attribute much of their success to Lt Noegel, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Noegel has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Redmon, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Cardinal Newman pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Oxbridge Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cardinal Newman won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Leonard at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. One thing working in Leonard's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches. As for Oxbridge Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Pine Crest at 6:00 p.m.
