Soccer Game Preview: Greenwood vs. Dorman

The Greenwood Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Dorman Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greenwood's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Dorman's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Greenwood will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Saturday, then bounced right back against Aiken on Thursday. Greenwood never let Aiken get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Dorman had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 4-0 to Lexington on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Greenwood's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Dorman, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Greenwood skirted past Dorman 1-0 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Does Greenwood have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dorman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
