Basketball Recap: Century Comes Up Short on the Road Against Douglas

Century had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 54-28 to the Douglas Bearcats on Thursday. The Patriots were down 43-19 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Jaden Meyer went supernova for Douglas, going 9 of 14 on her way to 25 points along with six steals and five boards. Those 25 points gave Meyer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Olsen, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 15 points and three steals.

Century didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-38 win against Campbell County on the 13th. As for Douglas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-24 victory against Thunder Basin on the 13th.
