Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Yerba Buena). They walked away with a 92-82 win over the James Lick Comets on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Aztec Warriors: when they faced off against the Comets back in January, they had to take a 61-58 defeat.

It was another big night for Brandon Tran, who posted 28 points. Brylin Thomas was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Yerba Buena has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-17 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for James Lick, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yerba Buena will take on Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for James Lick, they will challenge Overfelt at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
