Basketball Recap: Salem Baptist Christian Takes a Loss

Salem Baptist Christian was the 47-46 winner over Woodland Baptist Christian when they last played one another back in November of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Salem Baptist Christian Vikings took a blow against the Woodland Baptist Christian Eagles on Monday, falling 73-23. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while the Eagles are ranked 75th).

Salem Baptist Christian is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Woodland Baptist Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Salem Baptist Christian will venture away from home to face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodland Baptist Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southview Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland Baptist Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Southview Christian likes a good challenge.
