Volleyball Game Preview: Atlantic Eagles vs. Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars

After both having extra time off, the Atlantic Eagles and the Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Atlantic made easy work of Santaluces and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Somerset Academy - Canyons got the win against Avant Garde Academy last Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Somerset Academy - Canyons took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-6, 25-12.

Atlantic's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Atlantic beat Somerset Academy - Canyons 3-1 in their previous matchup on March 6th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Atlantic since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
