It was a good run, but Challis unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Butte County Pirates, falling 75-49. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-24.

Despite the loss, Challis still got an impressive performance from Brayden Ollar, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Ramey Rhoades, who posted 11 points.

It was another big night for Koden Krosch, who went 10 of 15 en route to 26 points along with five assists and three steals for Butte County. Krosch is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Bracken Powell also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Challis' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8. As for Butte County, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Challis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-49 win against Grace Lutheran on the 28th. Butte County has also already played their next match, a 55-53 victory against West Jefferson on the 28th.
