Basketball Recap: Mulberry Grove's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mulberry Grove had won two straight games and Jackson Icenogle did his part to make it three on Friday. The Mulberry Grove Aces walked away with a 67-55 victory over the Farina South Central Cougars thanks to Icenogle, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 21 points. The matchup was his seventh in a row with at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Hagan Henrichsmeyer, who posted ten points and four steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times he's played.

Mulberry Grove's win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Farina South Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-11.

Mulberry Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-48 loss against Neoga on the 15th. As for Farina South Central, they will face off against Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
