Volleyball Recap: Midland Comes Up Short

Midland lost against Flanagan-Cornell back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 24-26, 25-9.

Carleigh Pfaff had an outrageously good game for Flanagan-Cornell as she had 26 digs and one assist.

Midland's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Flanagan-Cornell, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.

Coming up, Midland will head out on the road to challenge Marquette at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Flanagan-Cornell, they will be playing at home against Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
