Basketball Recap: Sicily Island Comes Up Short

Sicily Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Harrisonburg Bulldogs, falling 58-2. The Tigers lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 40-28 score last time.

Sicily Island's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Harrisonburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season.

Sicily Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harrisonburg, they and Monterey will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harrisonburg is facing Monterey at the right time seeing as Monterey is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
