Basketball Recap: Archbishop Carroll Comes Up Short

On Saturday, Archbishop Carroll faced Gonzaga in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Archbishop Carroll Lions were beaten by the Gonzaga Eagles 95-58. The Lions were down 67-36 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Archbishop Carroll's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Gonzaga, their victory bumped their record up to 25-4.

Archbishop Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gonzaga, they and Bishop McNamara will face off at 6:15 p.m. on Sunday without much rest, having both just played. Gonzaga knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 29 matchups -- so hopefully Bishop McNamara likes a good challenge.
