Recap: Bevier Wildcats vs. Columbia Independent
On Thursday, 2024 welcomed Bevier with a 41-16 loss courtesy of Columbia Independent. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bevier has scored all season.
It was another big night for Blake Morris, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds for Columbia Independent. The game was Morris' seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Dirksmeyer, who scored four points.
Bevier's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Columbia Independent, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.
Bevier will be playing in front of their home fans against Meadville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meadville is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Columbia Independent, they will head out on the road to face off against Missouri Military Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Missouri Military Academy is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
