Volleyball Game Preview: McGregor Bulldogs vs. Hico Tigers

The McGregor Bulldogs will face off against the Hico Tigers at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

McGregor had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to Bosqueville on Tuesday. McGregor hasn't had much luck with Bosqueville recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

McGregor started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Hico suffered their biggest defeat since September 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Clifton, falling 3-0.

While Hico was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Clifton's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-20.
