North Central Missouri recap September 24, 2013

Moberly extended the longest winning streak in North Central Missouri this week by beating Fulton, 43-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Spartans.

Moberly led the league in scoring this week by notching 43 points on the Hornets.

Tyler Osborn threw for 201 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 14-30 with 1 interception.

Dalton Horstmeier was the best receiver in the league this week as Fulton fell to Jason Ambroson's team. Horstmeier tallied 4 receptions for 126 yards. Chris Tilson helped Fulton's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 75 yards.

Osborn put up the best numbers through the air as Kirksville lost to Marshall. Osborn's favorite target this week was Nathan Farnsworth, who caught 5 passes for 53 yards.

Osborn was the best running back in North Central Missouri this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 133 yards as the Tigers fell to the Spartans. Blake Riley also contributed to the rushing game with 113 yards on the ground.

The Hornets' Joe Schlemeier and Tilson have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Schlemeier has thrown for 958 yards this season, while Tilson has 21 catches for 448 yards. Kirksville's Makenna Cook leads the league in rushing yards with 422.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Fulton takes on the Owls. As it stands, the Hornets are in third, while Marshall is in fifth.

The Owls made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,097 from 10,161. The improvement was the result of 33-32 victory over the Tigers last week.
