Volleyball Recap: Walnut Hills Eagles vs. Loveland Tigers
Walnut Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Loveland Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.
The final score came out to 25-9, 25-6, 25-18.
Loveland found their leader in sophomore Ella George, who had 11 digs and two assists. George is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played.
Walnut Hills' loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Loveland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Walnut Hills will square off against rival Milford at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Loveland is set to face off against their familiar foe Lebanon at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
