Baseball Recap: Flint Hill Comes Up Short

If Flint Hill was riding high fresh off their 14-5 takedown of Potomac School on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies lost 13-3 to the Highland Hawks on Tuesday. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Flint Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Ryan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Asher Ricard was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Flint Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Highland, they pushed their record up to 22-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flint Hill will host Benedictine at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Highland, they will face off against Potomac School at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
