Softball Recap: Mccollum's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak on the Road

McCollum fell victim to South San Antonio and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Cowboys' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

McCollum's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4. As for South San Antonio, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. McCollum will face off against rival MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, South San Antonio is set to square off against their familiar foe Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (South San Antonio 2.9, Southwest 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
