Hooks had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the S & S Consolidated Rams get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Hornets sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Not much got past Peyton Morgan, who gave up just four hits to keep S & S Consolidated off the board. Morgan has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zoey Greenwood, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Hooks pushed their record up to 26-8-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for S & S Consolidated, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 22-1.

Hooks will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
