Taylor County is 8-2 against Central since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Taylor County Vikings will challenge the Central Hawks at 8:30 p.m. Taylor County will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Taylor County can't be too worried about heading out to take on Central: they just beat Chattahoochee County at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Taylor County strolled past Chattahoochee County with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 59-45.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Brayden Ellison and Champ Simpson. Ellison had a great game and posted 20 points. Meanwhile, Simpson did his best for the losing side, putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Central challenged Marion County on Monday. Central was the clear victor by a 68-48 margin over Marion County. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Taylor County pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points over those games. As for Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-11.

Taylor County was able to grind out a solid victory over Central in their previous meeting last Saturday, winning 67-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Taylor County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
