After losing to Fabens the last time they met, Parkland decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Matadors came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0 on Friday.

While Parkland won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-12.

Ruby Fraire paced Parkland's offense, picking up ten kills. Fraire got some help from Amerie Aguirre and her 13 assists. Fraire was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Parkland's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Fabens, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Parkland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Del Valle on the 23rd. As for Fabens, they will welcome Bowie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
