Softball Recap: Manchester Takes a Loss

Manchester was the 9-8 winner over Fairfield when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Lions by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manchester saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elliana Applegate, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Fairfield, their record is now 17-6.

Manchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fairfield, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Valley on the 22nd.
