Baseball Recap: Kenston Takes a Loss

St. Edward hit Kenston with a four-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bombers lost 9-1 to the Eagles. The Bombers were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Kenston saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Graysen Bischof, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Kenston and nudges their season record down to 6-16. As for St. Edward, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenston will venture away from home to challenge Chagrin Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Edward, they will challenge Gilmour Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
