Dodge County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lyric Green, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Green has scored at least a third of Dodge County's points. Another player making a difference was Autumn Rhodes, who scored 16 points along with five assists.
Dodge County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Fitzgerald, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7.
Dodge County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sumter County at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. As for Fitzgerald, they will head out on the road to challenge Irwin County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Irwin County: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Fitzgerald has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
