Football Game Preview: Alonso Ravens vs. Bloomingdale Bulls

The Alonso Ravens will take on the Bloomingdale Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Alonso is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Newsome 28-0. The Ravens' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a point in their last three games.

Gabby Werr was her usual excellent self, throwing for 207 yards and three touchdowns. She is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Alonso didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Mia Garcia, Makenna Aldaco, and Maja Rowe picked up one apiece. Garcia got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, while Bloomingdale put up some points on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Horizon. The Bulls blew past the Hawks 20-0.

The critical scores for Bloomingdale came from Jesenia Labrador, Alexa (Lexi) Serniotti, and Krista Albertson.

Alonso has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.6 points on average over those games. As for Bloomingdale, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
