Volleyball Recap: Atascadero Comes Up Short

Atascadero was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Rio Mesa Spartans. If the Greyhounds were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Spartans when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Atascadero's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Rio Mesa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Atascadero will square off against Sanger West at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rio Mesa, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Immanuel on the 7th.
