Baseball Recap: Holbrook Victorious

Holbrook had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Miami Vandals on Thursday.

Holbrook got a massive performance out of Lukai Frenette, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Frenette a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthias Montijo, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Miami is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Holbrook will be taking part in a tournament against Show Low at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Miami, they will square off against Hayden at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
