University Christian's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Christ's Church Academy Eagles a 4-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Christians in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Mason McLeod was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Tyson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

University Christian pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Christ's Church Academy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University Christian will head out to challenge Foundation Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Christ's Church Academy, they will challenge Nease at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Christ's Church Academy is facing Nease at the right time seeing as Nease is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
