It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Fort Bend Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Cypress Christian Warriors out 13-11. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Reese Heflin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over eight innings while giving up six earned (and five unearned) runs off 11 hits. Heflin was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. What's more, she also racked up three hits, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Fort Bend Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Ariel Yee, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI Yee has posted since back in April of 2024. Allie Guillot was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Fort Bend Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-2-1. As for Cypress Christian, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Coming up, Fort Bend Christian Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Fulshear at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cypress Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. John XXIII on Thursday.
