Basketball Recap: Union City Wins Going Away Against Randolph Southern

Union City lost to Randolph Southern back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Union City Indians took down the Randolph Southern Rebels 39-25. The contest marked the Indians' most dominant victory of the season.

Union City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Oaklee Reichard out in front who went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Reichard has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Ordonez, who posted six points along with six rebounds and five steals.

When it comes to explaining why Randolph Southern lost, don't look at Haileigh Allen. Despite the final result, she put up 18 points in addition to five steals and five blocks.

The victory snapped Union City's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-11 record. As for Randolph Southern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-5.

Union City has already played their next matchup, a 51-18 loss against Monroe Central on the 11th. Randolph Southern has also already played their next game (against Union County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
