Basketball Recap: Chalmette Owls vs. Destrehan Wildcats
Chalmette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Destrehan Wildcats an easy 53-31 win. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Wildcats are ranked 43rd).

Despite the loss, Chalmette still got an impressive performance from Macy Robinson, who posted 14 points in addition to six boards and four blocks. Robinson has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Blaise, who put up eight points.
Even though they lost, Chalmette smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

As for Destrehan, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Destrehan Wildcats face off against the Booker T. Washington Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Booker T. Washington will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Destrehan surely won't give up without a fight.
