Volleyball Recap: Meadow Heights Takes a Loss

Meadow Heights suffered their biggest defeat since September 5th on Monday. They came up short against the Leopold Wildcats, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost six in a row.

While Meadow Heights ultimately came up short, they really made Leopold work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 27-25.

Jaycee Shelton paced Meadow Heights' offense, picking up ten kills. Shelton got some help from Maci Long and her 15 assists.

Meadow Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Leopold, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-1-2 record this season.

Meadow Heights didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against South Iron on the 23rd. As for Leopold, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Bell City on the 23rd.
