Softball Recap: Johnsburg Skyhawks vs. Woodstock North Thunder
Johnsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodstock North Thunder. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 back in April.
Joree Tibbs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, Johnsburg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Braun, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI.
Johnsburg's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Woodstock North, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.
