Volleyball Recap: Bellbrook Comes Up Short at Home Against Kenton Ridge

Bellbrook unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Kenton Ridge Cougars on Saturday. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Kenley Von Handorf paced Bellbrook's offense, picking up eight kills. Von Handorf got some help from Lucia Mescher and her 17 assists. Payton Burns controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Kenton Ridge can attribute much of their success to Olivia Everhart, who had 11 digs and six assists.

Bellbrook has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Fairmont on the 18th. As for Kenton Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Shawnee on the 21st.
