Basketball Recap: Red Lake Takes a Loss

Red Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 55-18 loss at the hands of the Lake of the Woods Bears. The Warriors lost against the Bears in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 66-60 score last time.

Audrianna Lussier was Red Lake's leading scorer, having posted five points. Rhianna May held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.

Red Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lake of the Woods, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Lake will face off against Fond du Lac Ojibwe O at 12:00 p.m. on December 14th. As for Lake of the Woods, they will be playing at home against Blackduck at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
