            The Northville Falcons were able to grind out a solid  win over the Wells Wells CSD on Tuesday, taking the game  5-2.

 Sal Pagano was a  major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out 11 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits (and only one walk). Pagano was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances with three  stolen bases and two  runs. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.
 Pagano wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Logan Diaz, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. That  double was  Diaz's first of the season. Another  was  Connor Dickinson, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases.
Northville's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Wells, their loss was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 0-8.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northville will welcome Warrensburg  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Wells, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Johnsburg Central  at 4:30  p.m. The Jaguars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4  runs per game  this season, so the Wells CSD's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
