The Spartans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Braves on Tuesday for which the team can thank Kitch, who had 15 digs and three assists. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played.
While Homestead won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-17.
Bellmont's loss came despite strong showings from Gracie Riggs and Lilly Selking. Riggs had nine digs and two aces, while Selking had 15 assists.
