Softball Recap: Jefferson West Starts Season with Win at Home

Jefferson West gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They never let the Rossville Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Addison Garrett, who gave up just five hits to keep Rossville off the board.

On the hitting side, Jefferson West let Taryn Taylor and Ashley Moser run wild. Taylor scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Moser went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Jefferson West is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Hiawatha at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Rossville, they will square off against Santa Fe Trail at 4:30 p.m. on April 4.
