Softball Game Preview: Seattle Christian Warriors vs. Cascade Christian Cougars

The Seattle Christian Warriors will take on the Cascade Christian Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Seattle Christian comes in on five and Cascade Christian on four.

Cascade Christian's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Seattle Christian hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Warriors never let Chimacum get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Izzy Blase made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adrienne Koontz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Sophie Gielski, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Saturday. Cascade Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Seton Catholic, sneaking past 2-1.

Seattle Christian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cascade Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Seattle Christian couldn't quite finish off Cascade Christian in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 12-10. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
