Football Preview: Marana Tigers vs. Basha Bears
Marana has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will host the Basha Bears at 6:00 p.m. Marana will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
Marana is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Valley Vista on the road to the tune of 35-0 on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
A big part of Marana's win came down to the chemistry between Ella Joplin and her top target Malaysia Roebuck. Joplin threw for 305 yards and four touchdowns while Roebuck picked up 109 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Roebuck also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Meanwhile, Basha was able to grind out a solid victory over Williams Field on Wednesday, taking the game 27-14. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Black Hawks are ranked 50th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Marana pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Basha, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
