Basketball Recap: Salem Christian School Takes a Loss

Salem Christian School played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 75-22 loss at the hands of the NC H Heat. The defeat continues a trend for the Defenders in their meetings with the Heat: they've now lost four in a row.

Several Defenders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dimitri Heitschmidt, who posted nine points.

NC H's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mason Landwehrmann led the charge by going 6-for-9 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Trey Redgate, who put up ten points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Salem Christian School's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for NC H, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Salem Christian School will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Legacy Athletics at 6:30 p.m. on December 2. As for NC H, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 75-41 loss against South Charlotte on the 24th.
