Football Recap: Crisp County Cougars vs. Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane
Crisp County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. The game between them and the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane wasn't particularly close, with the Crisp County Cougars falling 25-7.
Hagan Slimp threw for 103 yards on seven of 20 attempts.
Keshaun McCray was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards.
Crisp County's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Fitzgerald, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
Crisp County will host Peach County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Peach County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 point or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Crisp County likes a good challenge.
