Baseball Game Preview: Georgetown Bulldogs vs. Andrews Yellowjackets

For the second straight game, Georgetown will face off against Andrews. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. Georgetown will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Things were looking good for Georgetown after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Andrews by a score of 10-9.

For Andrews' part, Sloan Harper was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Harper has become a key player for the Yellowjackets: the team is 4-1-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Baker, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Georgetown has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Andrews, they moved to 8-8-2 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
