Softball Recap: Leonard Takes a Loss

Leonard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 10-1 to Blue Ridge. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, Leonard couldn't push the score so high this time.

Leonard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Pemberton, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Leonard's record now sits at 2-17. As for Blue Ridge, their record now sits at 3-4.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Leonard Tigers take on Pottsboro Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blue Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Bells at 6:30 p.m. Bells' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Blue Ridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
