Baseball Recap: Central Linn Comes Up Short

Central Linn's last matchup with Monroe could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Friday. The Cobras lost 11-1 to the Dragons. The loss continues a trend for the Cobras in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost three in a row.

Thomas Thornton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Gradi Spencer also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Central Linn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Monroe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
