Recap: J.L. Mann Patriots vs. Hillcrest Rams
With a playoff game on the line, the J.L. Mann Patriots rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 21-13 win over Hillcrest. The win was familiar territory for J.L. Mann who now have five in a row.
J.L. Mann's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nacyus Morrison led the charge by rushing for 86 yards and a touchdown.
J.L. Mann is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Hillcrest, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-3.
J.L. Mann will head out on the road to face off against Dutch Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dutch Fork knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully J.L. Mann likes a good challenge. Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
